Bought this for my 1 year old expecting it to be a bit cheap like most plastic toys but it isn't. The quality surprised me. It feels very solid. The tension string and mechanism feel like they can take a lot of play. It's slow, but moves quite well in the water if it's deep enough. It's airtight, so water can't get in where mold can grow. The only holes are channels to allow it to sink and then resurface, and they dry quickly so there's no nasty mold. It will be a great gift for kids who love to swim.
