Review on Enhanced CRUX SWRHN-62B Radio Replacement Interface for Improved Compatibility with Honda Vehicles by James Ramirez

Good interface for steering wheel controls

Using this interface is essential if you want to keep steering wheel controls for your vehicle. Fortunately, the interface also includes a complete wiring harness for the radio, as well as the necessary wiring harness (adapter) for the antenna. Basically it was plug and play. I'm still not sure what the RCA connectors are used for as the radio itself has an aux input. (I don't use it anyway, so it's fine.) However, there are a few small things that could be improved. Another manufacturer has added functions to the steering wheel remote control that are triggered by a long press on the buttons. In this case, holding down the channel/track button could be used to skip to the next (or previous) folder on the SD card or, if equipped with a CD changer, to switch between discs. The "mode" button on the steering wheel also doesn't match what the radio does - the button actually toggles me from SD card to radio to hard drive; The mode button on my main unit switches the screen from the media player to the Android Auto screen. If it were possible to program this button somehow, that would be ideal. However, the functionality of the buttons mostly covers the basics and that might be all some people need.
