Length folded 10-1/4", extended: 20-1/4", ie from the middle of the welded-on mounting ring. The cranking when lifting is rather slow; Adjust it so it can swing up once the foot leaves the ground and there will be no rotation. It looks well made, although overall it's a bit "loose"; but i think it will be ok. Make sure the location allows you to lift the trailer off the vehicle when raised, otherwise you will need a block to get higher.
