I need noise canceling headphones that are also suitable for phone calls. I also needed it to work with Skype on my work laptop. I tried a pair of Sony headphones and the noise cancellation and music playback were fantastic, but people on the phone said I sounded terrible. I liked the new Jabra headphones, but they're more expensive, the ANC didn't work when I was on a call, and I couldn't easily connect them to my work laptop. Plantronics has a separate Bluetooth USB adapter that works great on my laptop and pairs great with Skype. Noise cancellation and music quality are "good enough". Sony is better in these categories. These plantronics are great for calls and good enough for music and noise cancellation (even on airplanes).
