Big Burner stopped working a month after ownership. For no apparent reason, it just stopped working. Before that it was great and we loved it. I can't contact Cuisinart to find out, but according to the instructions we have to pay for shipping and handling to send it back and get a new hob. Overall, I can't recommend anything that just stops working for no reason, then you should replace it. After all, this burner costs us close to $200 to get a second "fixed" one, so just fire up a bullet and get a better one instead.
