How did it happen?
One end of the U-bolt is unthreaded! I figured it was just the end that was ruined so I cut off a quarter inch with a dremel. The nut still won't turn. Then I realized that this is not a carving. there are grooves, but not in a spiral. It's just a bunch of parallel grooves. Ribbed for everyone's pleasure. How does that even happen?
