No line connection included.

I'm not a plumber and being told to drill a hole in my main (saddle) connection seems wild to me. Others talk about a T or compression connector but I can't find it anywhere in the 3/4" size. Very frustrating and can't decide for myself when they could just activate the correct connector. I plan on returning it.
