I've been using it for a year now and I'm generally very satisfied. The action is smooth and the quality seems high. I have a feeling this will last a long time. The problem I've noticed recently is this: when I use a large camera with a large lens, my 4.3lb Sigma 150-600mm C lens, I increase the voltage so that when I loosen the head to move it, there is some tension it's not easy to spank. The problem occurs when I try to tighten the ball head on my subject, the whole thing tends to bounce down and away from the subject. I have to guess vaguely how hard it will press and then press to get to my subject and it can even take two or three tries to get it right. The solution to this problem is to loosen the tension so it really wiggles and dangles freely. When I pull the ballhead down, it doesn't tend to push forward. Unfortunately it doesn't hold its position at high tension for heavier loads, but I also don't know if that happens to everyone or maybe just mine over time and use. In any case, I'll leave it at that for the time being, because I really only notice it on special missions, under greater stress and have to deal with it. My star rating would definitely be higher, maybe 5, if it weren't for this issue. Upgraded to 4 stars in 4/2019 as I've used it a lot and it was very reliable just for the money. . I'm glad I bought it, I highly recommend it.
