Screw head broken

Looking at the reviews I knew very well what not to do, not to use small screws to hold the weight of what should have been on a large screw , only use it for positioning. After 2 1/2 months of use, the screw head broke off. I was very happy with this ball head before it broke, it was very stable and held up well. I called Revain and they sent another one which arrived in 2 business days which I was beyond thrilled with. Hopefully it's a bad ball. I'll update my review after 6 months of use.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • There are flaws

Looks like a decent tripod head with a dirty mount. However, Revain has b00 listed as Triple Action (pan and ball lock knobs and friction control) and b00 is just Double Action meaning no friction control. According to the Benro website, b0 is a triple action, so I ordered it and am sending it back. Frustrated waiting for something and realizing it was just the wrong description of the item. This rating seems to appear under both B00 and B0, so check which one you want before ordering!

Very happy with the best monopods

I have a travel tripod that I like but I have never been happy with the ball head that comes with it. After looking at LOTS of ball heads I settled on the Benro B2 and am very happy with it. It's not light, but I really like the weight. I really LOVE the plate locking mechanism that requires you to pull the locking nut outward to loosen it just enough to release the plate. This is a feature lacking on most other Arca Swiss platter systems and I need it because sometimes I loosen the platter…

Great solid ball head with professional features

I love this ball head. I chose it because the smaller ball heads crept in when using my 200-600mm lens. My weight capacity was half that, but it still moved no matter how hard I set it. B4 is rock solid. Simply press firmly on the friction knobs and it will stop all movement except panning or angle adjustment. You can still move them yourself without lens movement. The knobs are different sizes so you don't accidentally mix them up, they're rubberized for a good grip, and the Arca-Swiss…

  • Large selection

But overall great.

I've been using it for a year now and I'm generally very satisfied. The action is smooth and the quality seems high. I have a feeling this will last a long time. The problem I've noticed recently is this: when I use a large camera with a large lens, my 4.3lb Sigma 150-600mm C lens, I increase the voltage so that when I loosen the head to move it, there is some tension it's not easy to spank. The problem occurs when I try to tighten the ball head on my subject, the whole thing tends to bounce…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky
