This is a very simple, functional device. However, I would recommend using it with the highest quality settings. I tested it and found the lp setting worked well until I used it on a small audience. The feedback made listening to the recording difficult. The "S" lisped and it was just a very high pitched sound. I believe the Sp setting will have better quality, I don't know what other recorders have to offer or what are the advantages of a lower setting other than you get more recording time. I think it's a good recorder, has a lot of features that I haven't really explored yet and does the job.
