Review on πŸ”Š Rockville ROCKBAR 40-Inch 400W Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer, Bluetooth, HDMI, and Optical Connectivity by Joshua Carter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I wish I could give it 5 stars, sounds fantastic! But the first had problems.

Let me start this review by saying I'm NOT a music lover, but I do know audio gear and have dealt with some quality stuff. This kit is not such equipment. BUT, this is the best value you can find at Revain! I'm really amazed at how good this thing sounds for the money. Honestly, I don't think I can justify a few hundred bucks more for comparable setups from Sony or Samsung. In fact, I bought a Revain refurbished Yamaha soundbar before I thought I could go wrong with a Yamaha. It was okay, but I was craving something better. I stumbled across this setup and actually quite happy, especially for the money! Pros: Clear sound Strong bass for the size of a sub-module Easy Bluetooth control Integrated HDMI-ARC (haven't tested this yet, but it's a big reason I bought this set) Loud and non-distorting soundbar Cons: Annoying status light easy to remote all the time. Too easy Very few sound settings possible What is the biggest problem that prevents me from giving 5 stars? My first was great except the entire left side of the soundbar was DOA. There is no sound at all! The second one has arrived and worked great out of the box - it sounds rich, full and not just loud. Sure, it's not a JL Audio, Bose, or Sony system, but in the sub-$150 price range, you won't find anything better! So overall I would say I would definitely recommend them! But you'd better open and test the box as soon as you receive it, just in case there is any quality problem. Judging by the reviews I'm not the only one with this experience. To be fair, this is a fairly new model from Rockville and the build quality of the products themselves seems quite acceptable for the price paid; Non-working speakers are more of a teething problem in early builds than an indicator of hardware longevity.
