If you want to share broadband between PC and Mac, MA101 will help you. I have had success with this platform/OS/hardware combination: PC: Win2000 ProMac: OS 10.1.5 Apple M8930LL/A Airport Extreme Base station connected ISP provided DSL modem to base station and set up base station with Mac. (With no success using Apple Airport Admin configuration software for PC.) Then connected MA101 USB to PC, installed software from CD and configured settings according to Mac security. I received strong signal and bandwidth from both the MA101 and the airport card in a 3 story house. 40-bit WEP works fine. The 128-bit version is a bit buggy at times, so I have to temporarily revert both platforms to 40-bit. Haven't tried setting up file sharing yet, but will try connecting a USB printer to the base station. (Note that you can find a list of approved USB printers that work with the base station at Apple.com/airport. Also, this USB printer feature reportedly requires a Mac running OS 10.2.3+)
