Review on Dell P2217H Professional LED Monitor - 21.5" Screen, Anti-Glare, 60Hz Refresh Rate by Tim Stowers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great Value / Swing above your weight

Whether you're looking for a compact monitor for productivity or a multi-monitor setup instead of playing games or movies, this is excellent value for money. That's my profile, I did NOT want a big monster in my small office, but I needed features: vertical adjustment (a rarity in budget monitors), tilt adjustment, multiple USB ports, convenient cable management, native DisplayPort interface, excellent quality images. Even decent blacks included, what's not to like? I've noticed that many other monitors in this price range complain about instability in reviews, while the large rectangular base creates a solid base. Why 4 and not 5 stars? The 16:9 wide aspect ratio on a 19.5 inch screen is quite a small monitor. Oddly enough, it's smaller than the same size in the old-fashioned 4:3 aspect ratio. There's nothing wrong with that, the monitor is actually 19.5 inches, but it *seems* only smaller due to its wide-angle aspect ratio. Just a warning.
