The Samsung remote that came with my TV is actually very good because you can use it to control not only the TV but also peripherals almost can fully control. HOWEVER, this remote's weight is uneven and its shape just barely allows it to fall to the floor. We have wooden floors and if the remote control falls, the back cover comes off and the batteries fly under the sofa or TV stand. This happens several times a day. It drove me crazy After two years I finally figured out that there is probably a third party remote for it. This fits perfectly and offers a good grip. The remote still falls off from time to time, but the battery cover stays in place and the rubber grip keeps the remote from bouncing too far off the couch.
