I should have listened to other reviewers who warned me about the scam I'm about to write about. I really don't like this product. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: It actually makes decent coffee. Cons: When I pour coffee, it ALWAYS drips into the pot. It makes so much mess every morning that we keep a "coffee rag" on our counter to pick up spills. Anyone who pours coffee faces this. This comment may seem trivial, but nine months later, repeated every morning, it becomes annoying. Even if the bottom of the decanter is wiped off, there will still be some moisture left on it. When I put it back on the stove to keep the coffee warm it sizzles. This moisture, applied daily to the heating plate, now causes blisters to form on the surface. After a few more days, these blisters will burst and the surface beneath the coating will be exposed and begin to rust. I say that with some confidence because this happened to our old coffee maker and it prompted us to get rid of our old coffee maker. To the credit of the old coffee maker, this was after years, not months, of use. I thought I could live with the daily drip and the chaos it causes, but I can't. I'm ready to buy a new coffee maker after using the old one for nine months. Don't buy .db
