I recently bought this nozzle with the intention of using it for heavier media and longer life which I think attracts many others to this nozzle. With traditional brass nozzles, heavier materials like carbon fiber and wood will wear out the nozzle faster and you will likely need to replace it frequently (about every 1-4 weeks depending on how often you print). The disadvantage of using a steel nozzle is that you usually have to adjust the print temperature by about 10ยฐC to print with the same materials. Unfortunately, even with a completely updated CR10, a temperature increase of 15 or even 20 degrees was not enough in this case. When the material started to come out evenly, my extruder (BMG) had trouble pushing the materials through, often resulting in them getting stuck and the extruder slowly failing. I had to practically press hard on the door and hold it down to apply enough pressure to evenly push the material through. However, I find that after switching to regular PLA it seemed to work pretty well with no issues, but if you can't print harder materials easily then why buy this item? This point more or less undermines one of the main goals of switching to a steel nozzle, although I believe it will last at least slightly longer than a brass nozzle for normal PLA printing. Overall I would give it a 2.5, rounded up to 3.
