First I used ELUTENG M.2 2280 heatsink. There were 2 problems with ELUTENG: 1- It is 2mm higher and it hits the bottom of the laptop body. I confirmed this by applying some thermal paste and seeing where it met. 2. 2 very thick silicone straps were used to attach it to the disc. The stripes are above the radiator, making it even higher. I've always suspected the tapes act as an insulator, blocking airflow and not strong enough to make a good connection to the heatsink (Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut). Icepc-DIY has solved both of these problems. It's much shorter, allows air to flow through the disc, and uses 3 thinner, stronger silicone bands that sit in the grooves of the heatsink. I immediately noticed a difference in the hard drive temperature. It also makes installation cleaner.
