Review on Monoprice Fireplace Pull Down Full Motion Articulating Furniture by Jade Allen

Big! Set it 2 inches higher than the instructions say and you're gold!

It works! And it's not as difficult to install as some might suggest. In response to some comments - your cleats don't need to be centered. There are enough slots along the 26 inch bracket to attach with screws. Mine was in the middle and to one side. I used reinforced anchors on the other side to keep it from rocking, but not because of the weight. The dimensions given for the height deviate slightly. My 11" shroud needed to have the bottom rail at 9" and it would be as low as possible without hitting the shroud. Note - This is for hand cleaning. Your TV and soundbar are easy to clean, so I don't think you need to make any adjustments for that. The TV can be adjusted up and down on the embossing brackets. So you can tilt it lower or higher to cover the frame as needed. I have a 70" TV and it covers the frame but not much free space. Voltage setting is not clear. Loose on the left, tight on the right. They'll give you a straight hex, so grab your drill and go slow. It starts out tight and I've dropped it almost all the way down to "weak" and it's fine. You may need to adjust it if you use the TV in any position other than up and down. All of this is incredibly strong and heavy. It seems to work. But the instructions are a little nightmarish, so just do what seems logical and you'll be fine.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
