I bought this cable to fix a router that I bricked when custom firmware wouldn't install. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to re-flash my router, I concluded that the green and white wires on my cable were reversed. I'm not sure if this is related to the cable I received or if it's a general issue. I'm just glad the power cable wasn't swapped, as I've been told that accidentally plugging it into the internal pin header is enough to damage the chipset. It's not a bad product for the price, but checking the output before plugging it into a router that costs several hundred dollars can be a good way to protect yourself from damage to what you're trying to fix.
