One of the biggest problems with my giant little staircase is that the steps are too narrow and very uncomfortable to stand on for a long time. Now I know it's a pretty compact ladder, I'm just expressing my thoughts. Now this little shelf really solves that problem! I can put my full weight (170 pounds) on it with no problem. It feels very secure and is big enough to stand comfortably. To move and climb it safely, you can simply slide it into the ladder and push it out with your hand or foot. For storage, I place it right in the middle of the stairs. Slide it before you snap the ladder. I'm only deducting a star because of the price. $30 is way too much considering the entire staircase cost just over $120.
