Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Optimized GE WB23T10015 Oven Sensor for Range/Stove by Ruben Jamrock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Functional replacement for WB21T10004

My GE built in double oven worked perfectly for over a decade and then it didn't seem to heat enough for a year. Basically, the temperature we set in the oven "seemsโ€ to hold; However, in order to achieve the desired result, the products had to be cooked longer. Suddenly, one day, the oven spontaneously turned off and gave an error "F2". I turned off the oven, restarted and it seemed to work fine. Then, over the next few weeks, it would suddenly shut down without an error message. I've read some comments on Revain here and elsewhere that said this thermal sensor could be bad. I couldn't find the exact part number but someone did a great job figuring out that this part is a replacement for an old part. Replacing the sensor was surprisingly easy. Simply turn off the oven with the automatic switch. (I had to remove the front door of the oven for easier access, which you may not need). Remove the single screw holding the sensor. I had to remove the top heating element (not disconnecting the wiring, just the hardware so it could be pulled out the back of the oven) to ease access to the connector. Disconnect the old sensor and connect the new sensor. Reconnect all the details. bam! Corrected! Turn on the switch and check the oven. Three weeks have passed and the oven has been in constant use for baking and cooking for the holidays. The oven now appears to be maintaining the correct temperature as determined by the IR thermometer. No more random shutdowns!
