Not strong enough in collars, harnesses and leashes

I bought a leather collar because our Golden puppy eats collars from our older Golden. This was destroyed within a few minutes, although it was a leather collar. The leather feels dry, not stiff, and given the way it's torn it doesn't feel like a premium material. When fastening, the thinner part of the leather feels cheap. To be honest, it doesn't even look like leather. I give it 2 stars because it looks nice and is easy to put on and take off, but it didn't last for me. Not sure if it will even hold up to my Golden who likes to tug at the leash when running - I think the leather on the buckle will tear after a short while.
