The hair was not very / not terrible. They tangled easily and even after the ends were secured they looked pretty rough after the first few days. When trying to part/tear into sections I found it difficult to keep my hair from becoming a tangled mess and for this reason I threw away quite a few handfuls. She received several compliments on the color/style so I'll say it was worth it.
