Review on Airhawk - R-REVB Large Motorcycle Seat Cushion for Comfortable Travel - Optimized for Improved Comfort and Size by Joshua Turner

Less is better than more.

It really works, but you have to find the right amount of air. I have a dislocated tailbone which makes sitting on almost anything pretty uncomfortable for a few minutes. The pain can become unbearable. Well, after a lot of research and thinking about a custom seat, I settled on this Airhawk. Bought mostly for my Road King Classic with the stock seat, now I use them on my pickup too. The bottom line, as others have mentioned, is inflate air into a chamber with chambers or something. The chambers are connected and the air is redistributed as it moves. It took me a few tries to find this lovely place so don't be discouraged. Keep trying. Like many others, I started with too much air and gradually let it out a little until I was comfortable. I'm talking at least a dozen tries, but it was worth it. Well, I'm not going to say I can ride for hours, but a few hours (compared to fifteen minutes or less, which was a real shame) I'm fine with this pillow. The attached photo gives an idea of how much or how little air I have in my pillow. For me it was a fantastic purchase that gave me back my ability to ride.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Almost never
