These mats are a great fit for the Model Y seat back. They appear to be made of high quality XPE material with a consistent color, texture and thickness. The set contains three rugs in different shapes. Each mat is only suitable for the corresponding rear seat back (left, middle, right). They are held firmly in place with 2 inch Velcro washers that grip the backrest mat. The kit contains 24 Velcro discs that can be attached to the mats. Each disc has a self-adhesive backing on one side and carpet hooks on the other. After the "dry fit" I attached the discs. I used 8 discs for the left and right mats and only 6 discs for the center mat. You're not going anywhere. The mats do not interfere with the normal drop of the seat and are held firmly on the seat back without sagging when the seats are in the upright position. The mats came in handy this weekend when I was moving furniture on the Model Y. Along with my cargo mat, these mats provided cushioning. , support and protection of furniture. They helped prevent movement during the move. They were easy to clean and looked brand new once we moved in. I highly recommend these rugs. There is one downside that needs to be mentioned. These mats are not designed to be removed from the seat backs frequently. Velcro discs hold the mats firmly enough on the seat backs. It takes some force to remove the mats. You will notice that the Velcro will stick to the carpet and detach from the mats. The adhesive gives way before it is attached with Velcro. So far, reinstalling the drive works. However, upon removing it again, I see that the adhesive eventually fails. Update: As other buyers have posted, the velcro mats are peeling off. Apparently the glue on the back of the velcro is not heat resistant. During the recent Texas heat wave, floor mats have begun to fall off the seat backs when the seats are upright. I contacted CS and they sent me a new, more heat resistant velcro to use. Hope they fix the problem. There are no problems with the carpets themselves.
