Review on Moen R8918P Home Care 18-Inch Concealed Screw Peened Bath Safety Grab Bar: Secure Bathroom Assistance by John Cox

I started this project with a 36" bar from a big store (32" bars just weren't available at any hardware store - not even online) . I knew I had to place the 36" bar diagonally at the end since the lugs were on 16" centers. However, the resulting angle was too steep to be used in a freestanding shower. If it were a bathtub and shower combo, the diagonal might make sense. So I was delighted that Revain was able to get me this 32" rod very quickly. The quality is identical to the Big Box brand. I was able to attach each end of the rod with two screws. I have a photo of the tools I used , attached. use for installation. The pros will probably laugh, but hey, if you have them and they help you get the job done better and more conveniently, then use them. I wouldn't go out and buy a hammer drill if you don't have one for this project but it will probably cut down on the time it takes to drill the tiles.This was the first time I've used a CH Hanson magnetic nail finder.It couldn't find the nail through the tile but did so quickly on the wall above the tile and I used a 4 foot level to extend the line from the pointer on the rod finder down the length of the rod above the tile I probably have half an hour e needed.
