This filter offers excellent airflow with low noise, but has very small openings (approx. 0.5 mm). The screen is probably pretty flimsy, but it has ribs and a rigid bezel that give it good rigidity. You really don't get finer filtration without paper, which greatly reduces airflow and increases noise. My 140mm screens are 139.3 x 139.3mm and 125mm between the holes. My 80mm screens are 83.5 x 83.5mm and 71.5mm between the holes. Depending on the application and tolerances, problems can arise with small 80mm screens. The holes are recessed, which doesn't make sense since you're almost certainly installing them between the fan and the case. Unfortunately, this increases the effective frame thickness. Count on the frame to add 4.75mm to the stack of case wall, filter, fan and any mounting hardware. I can't say anything about the quality of the supplied screws, as I prefer to use 6-32 mounting screws for this application.
