Like other reviewers I have had to upgrade my home office desk as I continue to work from home. Since I was used to the flexible office situation, I didn't need any drawers, cable management or anything special. Just a bigger table for my laptop, keyboard and second monitor. The price for this size was perfect. I had originally ordered white legs, but was put off several times. I am glad that the oak table top is light, more like a birch or pine. Another reviewer mentioned that the welds were a bit sloppy. I agree, but at least they're not in a range that you'll ever notice or see again. The black powder on the legs is even, without scratches and fine spots. When it arrived I was a little concerned that it might have been damaged in transit. I was amazed he wasn't there. It was packaged fairly well with corner protectors and pieces of foam on the sides to keep the legs in place. Easy assembly, with extra screws/bolts just in case. I'm not worried about the edge caps being laminated because they make smooth contact with the countertop and look great. Yes, chipboard with laminate. I always use a coaster, so I'm not worried about possible damage from a coffee mug or glass. I am very happy with this purchase. I'm considering ordering another one to use as a workbench in the garage!
