I was looking for something to keep my keys from a belt loop. In the winter my belt loop came loose and the keys fell out. Luckily I wasn't camping at the time. I saw this and decided to give it a try. All I can say is that it is very well built. The metal part that holds the keys is nice and thick and solidly built. I don't see any wear even after years of use. The nylon part is ribbed and durable. I didn't pay attention to the velcro on the inside. I know this is done to keep the keys in place on the duty belt, but on a regular belt I can see the velcro chewing on the belt as it moves. On top of this part I attached another soft velcro side strip.
