See, if you have an adapter that none of your drives will work with, the device may be faulty, and it does happen. Send it back and ask for a new one. I bought 2 of these and both worked with my WD Purple 1TB FMCB 1.93 build. Haven't tried other drives yet, but will update here when I do. It's running smoothly. But if you need internet, threaded parts work, and are afraid of a hard drive failure, then I highly recommend using an SD card instead. You can buy or use an official Sony adapter and buy a few more adapters to be able to format and run anything from an SD card while still being able to connect to the internet. Faster loading too. Note: Make sure the disk boot mode is set to Automatic in the OPL settings, otherwise the OPL will not boot from the disk and the device will seem to be malfunctioning. I was testing a new FMCB 8MB MC I made yesterday and I thought this adapter was bad because my games wouldn't load. I was about to send this back when I realized I had forgotten that setting in the OPL. I changed the setting to Auto and my OPL booted my hard drive back up.
