I understand why others say that plates should be folded down the middle because these flatbreads have thin edges and a thick middle. By making the batter thinner (more runny), the cakes will be much thinner, but they will stick to the lining and tear when gently removed. I've only done 4-5 games (ten at a time) so I'm not an expert. I prefer waxed paper to plastic wrap to line the device. If the dough balls are evenly round, the cakes will be more even. I have no serious complaints about the device. When I make a lot of flatbread I need to use a cast iron one that won't bend. ;-)
