Review on πŸŽ™οΈ TONOR USB Conference Microphone - 360Β° Omnidirectional PC Computer Condenser Mic with Mute Button for Online Meetings, Classes, Zoom Calls, Skype Chats - Plug & Play (TM20) by Tyler Munajj

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost 5 starter product - probably 4.5

I worked full time from home for a few years and lived a video conferencing life for a while. Things have gotten better lately and I'm video conferencing 7 hours a day most days plus work. Keeping going back to the screen to press the mute and unmute button can be tedious, and sometimes the buttons are even hidden in another tab or automatically disappear from the screen depending on what you're doing. Not only does this external mic provide better sound quality for those on the other end of the line, but it also provides a visual cue for you if you're live or muted - red when muted - so you can see your desk very easily if the sound is muted or not. This has made my life so much easier and reduced uncertainty because I don't have to worry about keeping an eye on the mute button on the screen - and when you join different meeting platforms based on external companies taking calls - internal ones Calls - each instrument a little different. Muting this button is perfect for maintaining a consistent work routine so I can focus on the job and not the tools. So why 4 or 4.5 stars instead of 5? Maybe it's my fault or not, but the touch point on the speaker for muting and muting isn't as sensitive as I'd like - maybe my fingers just aren't conductive enough, but very often I have to press the button more than once, to switch from mute to on or vice versa. This is the only problem in the dynamics. Now that I think about it there are two other things I would change about the mic: 1. If the cable could be made more flexible like the ones that come with Bose speaker controls it would help if you put it to yourself pull, push away when working at a desk, etc. The cable is a bit stiff so it wants to snag on things. This is in no way a deal breaker, but it could be improved2. The way the mic's metal grille is punched around the mic touch button makes the holes look like there's dirt around the button. I would style the grille with a small piece of hard metal around the button to improve the look, which after all isn't technically wrong with the device but adds ambiguity to the look and what's going on. .Finally, the price of this microphone can't be lower than what you get. I didn't know anything about this brand before the TikTok person posted this exact model and I decided to give it a try - and I'm glad I did.
