Ideal for indoor surfaces. Grass is usually uneven in changeable weather. This alone will make them bend over or fall. This is especially annoying when my athlete is in the middle of a jump. I had to tie them to the grass to keep them from falling, but that didn't solve the tipping problem. When the height is adjusted, the crossbars detach from the black hooks to which they are attached. This makes climbing higher obstacles a challenge. That means I had to fight my athlete AND the obstacles (laughs). No, but seriously, it's a bit flimsy as the black hooks fit very loosely in the groove that outlines the bezel, which I think adds to the tilt. I love that the legs are adjustable and I would recommend if you end up holding them in the opposite direction to center the obstacle as much as possible. I mean it's a great concept (that's why I bought it), it just didn't pan out the way I expected it to and unfortunately didn't fit my needs.
