Then, after months of hassle and pondering how I could 3D print an improved version or glue one of the cracked ones together, it dawned on me that I was just using a zip tie. When it fits perfectly and the frame stays inside. It looks a little ghetto but if you cut off the excess length on the tie you won't notice. . and much cheaper.
