Review on Armor All Car Leather Care Spray Bottle - Protectant Cleaner for Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles - 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 2) - 18725 by Mark Sharma

Left a dull, hazy residue

I used to use leather cleaning/care combination wipes on my car seats but never quite trusted them and wanted something with oil or wax. That's how I always treated leather when I was younger. My nappa leather seats are 7 years old so I'm very concerned they will crack in the Arizona sun. (Not yet, but the driver's side is definitely starting to look worn.) So thought I'd give it a try since it advertises beeswax. I followed the directions on the bottle but immediately realized that this remedy is just weird. difficult to use. It doesn't slip; it almost sticks to it when applied with a microfiber cloth. I actually had to work it up (which you should) just to apply it evenly. I let it dry and although it was pretty dark outside and in my car, I could already see it instead. Because of the shine that oils or certain waxes give, the interior of my car looked dull and flat - as if it had been cleaned but not air conditioned. The next morning I drove the car out of the garage into the sunlight and immediately noticed mushy streaks on all the leather surfaces that aren't normally touched. The seats weren't too bad I guess because my wife and I have sat on them and wiped some of the residue (on our butts and backs). But on other surfaces, that streaky grayish residue doesn't come off as easily because you can't just put your full body weight on it like you can on seats. For example, the steering wheel and center armrest in my car look awful and there doesn't seem to be much you can do about it other than use a different product and start over. And I intend to. This material is sent to the trash can.
