Review on Automatic Dispenser Parakeet Cokatiel Lovebirds by Lauren Parker

How to make them work.

Doesn't work for me. I have to thread it through the vertical bars to make it fit. The ring that holds the dispenser works great without water. Pour water and the water holder will fall right through. I am very disappointed in this product. If the designer had made a stripe around the middle of the bottom of the trough, that would have given the dispenser room to stop so it wouldn't fall through. If you can run a long slide through the bars from the outside, you might be able to put it on top of the horizontal bar that separates the vertical bars. Ask the designer to fix this problem. My photo above shows where a molded band around the center of the bottom of the gutter can prevent the dispenser from falling. I've shown this with white lines in the photo above. THIS IS A NEW REVIEW. The first photo should show where the designer might add a rib around the bottle. It just wasn't the right place for me. It should be ABOVE THE HOLDER. I used a Velcro strip, two strips lay on top of each other. (NOTE: The strips are not used as velcro, only for their ability to provide thickness to prevent the bottle from slipping.) The second photo is of the inside. The third photo shows water bottles outside. Fasteners should be between the vertical bars, at least in my case. I hope this helps anyone trying to use these water bottles. I have seven lovebirds. I hope they don't figure out how to pull them out from the bottom or chew on the velcro.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine
