This is a perfect laundry hamper for our particular application, which is a place to put used towels when we have guests over staying in our guest room suite. I wouldn't use it for a "main" hamper that's going to be a receptacle for all sorts of laundry however, since it doesn't have a lid so wouldn't optimally keep dirty laundry odors contained. But as it is, it works in our guest room where we wanted a hamper of small size to fit in well. As can be seen in one of the photos I included, it seems very at-home just outside the bathroom, next to the bureau.Some assembly was required, but it was fairly simple and didn't take very long. The key is to use real tools if you have them instead of the little tools the manufacturer included in the package. This definitely facilitates assembly. I used a real screwdriver instead of the Allen wrench with a screwdriver tip, but I didn't feel like going to my workshop to get the appropriate-sized crescent wrench, so I used the included stamped-metal one (but regretted it).There are actually TWO options for assembly: one is to use the casters to give you a rolling hamper (two of the casters have locking mechanisms so you can lock them to prevent rolling when you don't want it, and unlock them if you do), and the other is to use the included little screw-on soft plastic feet for stationary use. Of course, if you opt for the feel instead of the casters you can still carry the hamper wherever you need it to be with the hand-holds built into the sides. The included canvas liners (2 are included) have handholds that match the hamper, which helps the carrying. We personally opted for the casters.There were two additional bonus items included in the box: one large and one small mesh laundry bag for washing extra delicate items. I noticed that the zippers seemed to be installed backwards (that is, the pulls were INSIDE the bag instead of outside. Then I realized (or I should say, my wife informed me) that they needed to be turned inside-out. So they weren't defective after all. I guess that was part of the assembly process.We're happy with this hamper. It is just what we needed for our use case, and we like that it has casters for easy moving from place to place.
