4.5 out of 5 stars! Before this project I had never embroidered. My grandmother made embroidered stockings for my sister, cousin and I when we were babies and we still have them. With the birth of my nephew, I thought I could continue the tradition. In general, the scheme was clear and easy to understand. My only complaint is that there were a few spots where what was *clearly* in the picture of the "finished product" did not match what was marked on the canvas. There were also some spots on the canvas where it was really hard to tell what color to use on the border between two colors. Despite these things, this pattern was very easy to follow and not at all difficult to understand even for a beginner. turn the canvas into a stocking. Now I know how to sew - more complicated things than a stocking, of course - but that's something to keep in mind if you don't know how to do lining, stitching and the like.
