It was very clever. I was looking at a very similar product on the internet in a pop-up window. The only difference from yours was that the bushings themselves are twisted in the middle. In other words, you wouldn't have to lift it up and physically rotate it. The center actually rotated, which made it slightly better when the space the canister was placed was a bit tight.
