Zoo Med Natural Cork Bark, Flat, Medium (2 Pack) - not quite flat

I bought Zoo Med Natural Cork Bark, Flat, Medium (2 Pack). This is real bark so there is significant variation in shape and size. One was fairly flat, the other was very round - about 4 inches in diameter. I bought 2 packs hoping one would actually be flat and I got lucky. I use the shallow one in my turtle tank as a float. Swim platform ramp. The water doesn't seem to change color too much. I boiled them before use to clean them and remove some of the tannin.
