I didn't buy these covers for car seat belts but for belts on a backpack. My bag is big for a purse but not a proper backpack so the straps are plain unlined vinyl. I wanted to take the bag both abroad and around town and knew I would need padding to protect my shoulders and relieve pressure on my neck. These webbing covers are thick enough to be effective, yet soft and not bulky. They attach easily and stay in place, and you can adjust the exact position of the straps by sliding the covers forward or backward. In my case, the gray color of the sleeves even matches the gray color of the bag. I know these covers have relieved my shoulder and neck pain. I plan to always carry them on my bag's shoulder straps.
