So I confess I didn't know I ordered "RGB RAM". For the uninitiated, it's RAM with RGB LEDs mounted on top of it, which, when closed inside the case where no one can see them, emits blinking lights. I think it's for cool people with clear business. Well that's good, but here's what sucks. these are really high. In my case they don't fit at all because it's a small form factor device and the tolerances are tight. So an ordinary ram will do, but this one won't. I think I'll have to try heating up and removing the heat spreaders and see what I can do to remove the LEDs. The actual circuit boards are normal size. I think if you're looking for "RGB RAM" you're probably fine. My computer and Windows seem happy with it, it's just my case - no. I had no intention of installing the software needed to control the colors of the LEDs as they would turn off or be covered anyway. Aside from the fact that they won't fit and won't be easy to fit, they seem like good value for money.
