I don't usually have time to write reviews but this is a must. Great product, worth the money. We have used it to store towels, blankets, pillows and even a double rolled up futon for a family glamping weekend away. I was so nervous on the freeway when we pulled over that the car would fly out of the car and was grateful we only had light items in the trunk should this happen that we stopped halfway to check. everything is still tight and doesn't move an iota, even when we arrived at the destination (3 hours on the highway). This thing holds a lot of stuff and is actually waterproof which was tested during our trip home when it rained mostly all the way. Highly recommended! My brother has one of those expensive hard plastic Thule pieces and it doesn't fit all that well, and by the way, they've had it opened by throwing their ski gear across the freeway in the past! If you're worried about space, you don't have to anymore!
