FAIL! (updated) Best in Computers & Accessories

We just moved into our new house and I wanted to set up my new home network; I already have cable internet (Xfinity) with Asus Wifi Router (RT-66ACU). I recently bought a pair of Motorola MM1000 MoCA 2.0 adapters to bridge (via MoCA) from PoE (where the cable modem and router are) to my home office, everything worked great! However, my wifi reception at the other end of the house was poor, the answer (I thought) was a MoCA wifi extender! The only one I could find was this ActionTec block. The problem is that no matter how I try to set it up I can't get it to route traffic from the MoCA network (or its local wired and wireless) network to the Asus router (via the MM1000) and hence to the internet conduct! .I'm a 30+ professional S/W (but not a network expert) but I can't seem to get this device to work on my existing (and perfectly working) network! In my case, this is *far* from plug-n-play - a shame as this is exactly the device I was looking to replace with one of the MM1000s *and* to offer extended Wi-Fi coverage YMMV**UPDATE ** I think the problem I had with this unit was that the ActionTec is more prone to "network" quality issues than the Motorola MM1000. I believe it's because my cable at home is older and maybe the splitters used aren't the newest that ActionTec couldn't make a MOCA connection with the remote MM1000, I ended up just returning it and reinstalling it. MM1000 and made a good connection. I bought a new Asus AC1900 router and reused my existing AC1750 router as an access point and everything is working great now, so well that in speed tests a MOCA connection from my router to the local computer (through the access point) showed no reduction shows advertised speed of my Xfinity network connection!
