I am very satisfied with this button manufacturer. The red case is some kind of plastic, while the black base plate is metal. Very well packed in foam and bubble wrap. The quality of the individual parts could be better. Assembling the button maker was very easy. I needed a screwdriver to loosen one of the metal pieces to allow the entire metal slider to snap into place. The metal slider sits loosely in place, but that doesn't seem to affect the finished button. I made some buttons and they came out fine. You need to make sure you only insert one Mylar circle and attach the back piece correctly. The circle is ok. Anyone who likes to work with an x-acto knife should have no problems with a circle cutter. The size circle required for this button maker is 1 3/8 inches if you want to find a paper punch.
