I have two of these stylish lights that have been installed in my RV. I really like them and wanted to add another motion sensor light. I installed one of the five lamps that came in the box. The light turns on when motion is detected. After a normal timeout of about 25 seconds, the light goes off and comes on again after one second. It will then continue to turn on and off even if there is no movement. I tested the other four lights in the box on the stand and they didn't work properly either. I even installed two more lights in the RV and they also went on and off intermittently or just stayed on all the time. The original headlights that came with the camper now work perfectly. I bought a second box of five headlights and they were all defective as well. USB port. The instruction has nothing to do with the motion sensor lighting up. There is also a design flaw in the exterior coating. The three protrusions on the cover snap into grooves on the lamp base. After you put the two pieces together, trying to separate them will break some of the tabs. After that, the cover cannot be reattached to securely fasten it. I recommend filing the tabs a little before fitting the pieces together. I want to install these lights and they are the same as the ones I already have but the ones I bought from Revain just don't work.
