This is a very good value portable radio, small and very light. Approximate dimensions: 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" x 1-1/4". It's easy to install and has decent reception on all three bands. I mainly have it for the weather alert feature Bought boating. The antenna is extended to help reception. Reception has been fine and good. This radio has a built in flashlight and an LCD display with a soft blue backlight that turns off after about 1 minute. The display is in the dark clearly visible.Also, it always shows the current time, which consumes the least battery power when the device is off.If you have a free USB port/charger (5-5.2 VDC according to the manual) and rechargeable batteries, you can use this device connect to the mini USB port to charge/keep the battery charged.(Battery and mini USB to USB adapter cable not included.) Sound quality is crisp and clear, although I mostly talk-rad ok listen As for the music, it sounds like any other portable transistor radio I've had. This would be a great addition to any hike or hike, or to use in a survival kit.
