Review on 🌿 GoGreen Power 24048 - Alkaline AA 48pk: Eco-Friendly Batteries for Longer Lasting Performance by Gerald Duncan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Approved by Registered Nutritionist Ashley Coff! I don't know why it matters.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am involved with green products and ideas, as well as 'alternative energy sources' and 'planning for the future when fossil fuels are exhausted'. Batteries seem to fit into many of these categories. But are they really recyclable as advertised? You can recycle them for free on iRecycled.com, but only after earning at least 75 points - 1 point per battery. .So I have to buy 27 more batteries to qualify for the program. And is the program really a good, green thing? Batteries? the postman who takes the batteries to the post office before they are delivered/flown back to the recycling center? I also read that Ashley Koff, RD supports GoGreen batteries and the iRecycle program. Reading this does NOT explain why registering a dietitian should affect you one way or another. The rant about batteries also boasts that they are free of mercury, lead and cadmium. I am NOT aware of ANY battery that contains mercury. Only car batteries contain lead and only nickel-cadmium batteries contain cadmium. One of my favorite problems is with marketing campaigns that use half-truths to sell their products. Marketing for GoGreen uses several. Those are batteries. Should you feel it helps reduce your carbon footprint? The evidence is inconclusive.
