Review on CRST Surge Protector Power 4050Joules by Aaron Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good equipment and number of sockets

I bought this mains filter to replace my existing one. My computer area has a lot of AC powered equipment and I need more outlets. These are all devices with relatively low power consumption. I ran my DSL/phone line through the surge protector phone jacks. The power cord for my VOIP phone module plugs into one of two USB power ports. The sockets are positioned so that I can plug in several small power adapters and they all fit. What's nice is that I don't need any additional splitters to connect all my devices. The cable is quite long. I wish they sold the same model with a shorter cable. However, for some users this can be an advantage. I've compared many surge protectors and this is the only one that had enough outlets and the extra features I wanted. There were other models with slightly better surge protection performance, but I felt the performance of this device was good enough for my use. According to the manufacturer, it is ETL certified, which is a plus.
