I bought this set because I have that 40lb long haired green eyed cat that everyone is asking me about. "Is she a Maine Coon?" "Is she part Maine Coon?" I had no idea of her background as I fought her on the street and had no idea who her parents were. I thought this kit might give me some answers but just for fun as I love my cat no matter where they are from. It turned out that she is not a Maine Coon, but the pedigree is similar to Ragdolls. Plausible as she is very people friendly and behaves almost like a dog. However, the most important part of this test is the health reports. I have sent a copy to her vet so we can monitor what she may be predisposed to and have the vet offer advice on how to avoid certain effects. I am very happy with the test and would recommend it to anyone concerned about their cat's health or ancestry.
